Florence was founded in 58 BC. In the 1300s Florence was the richest city in Europe and it was during the Florentine Renaissance that Brunelleschi became the father of modern architecture. It was then Botticelli painted the "Venus" and spring ", Michelangelo sculpted" David "before he was summoned to Rome by the pope.
